“As a child i spent all my time discovering, listening and finding music. I always knew i wanted to be involved with music. I remember discovering you could DJ; i was amazed with the fact you could play your favorite music really loud to other people, make them dance and actually make a living of it. I’m still amazed!”

With more than a decade worth of DJ experience Flip – the Copenhagen based DJ turned producer – has within the last couple of years proven to be one of the most interesting names on todays house music scene. By playing his characteristic deep and warm, yet uplifting and percussion fueled house sound, Flip has become one of the most well-known and respected electronic DJs and artists in his his home country of Denmark. A status he has gained by holding several residencies at all major clubs, festivals and even radio stations; most recently with guest spots on Danish National Radio P3.

Add to this also a spot at 2011′s Sensation White party in front of 30.000 people at Denmark’s National Arena and an awards for “Upfront DJ of the Year” at the Danish DJ Awards..

Alongside his DJ’ing prowess and the release of the hugely successful “This Sound“, a track produced in collaboration with Djuma Soundsystem, Flip quickly began to establish himself as a respected music figure. The track quickly reached number one on Beatport, making it to ‘Track of the week’ on Danish National Radio, and became a major underground anthem throughout 2008. Azuli records, Pacha Ibiza and La Troya Ibiza picked up the track for their annual compilations, and at the end of 2008 Beatport awarded the track ‘Top 10 tech house track of the year’. Alongside this accolade the track was picked up by such esteemed names as Bob Sinclair, Armand van Helden, Fedde Le Grand, Swedish House Mafia, Roger Sanchez, Dirty South, Laurent Garnier, Layo & Bushwacka……to name just a few!

“This Sound” was quickly followed by an EP on a label aptly titled “Leaders of the New School”, a sub-label of one of Toolroom. Executed as a collaboration with Djuma Soundsystem, this once again gained outstanding feedback with playtime on Radio 1′s ‘Essential Mix’, and was by others compiled by Ministry of Sound for their “Underground 2009” compilation.

With a list of labels under his belt including Noir Music, Toolroom/L.O.T.N.S., Klimaks, Starlight, Brut, Black&White Orange and performances alongside names like Axwell, Steve Angello, Tiga, Sebastien Leger, Simian Mobile Disco, Fedde Le Grand, Sebastian Ingrosso, Tiefschwarz, Trentemoller, Radio Slave, Tocadisco, DJ T., Martin Solveig and many more, residencies at some of London’s prior clubs and venues and gigs in countries all over Europe, Flip is truly a ‘Leader of the New School’.
